About us

PIPS Charity is here to provide support to individuals who are considering, or who have at some point considered, ending their own lives.

Our history

Our organisation’s origins are linked to the unfortunate tragedy of 14 young people taking their own lives over a short period of time in 2003 and the coming together of a range of stakeholders compelled to try to address the issue.

We started as and very much remain, a community led organisation with a strong grass roots led ethos to suicide prevention and self-harm.

Training and Advocacy

We have been delivering Suicide Prevention Training from 2008 and over the years we have trained thousands of ordinary people – like you – in how to save someone from suicide. The overall aim of the training is to provide information on how to be more aware of the risk of suicide it also gives you the knowledge on how to signpost someone to all the sources of help available.
Our training is aimed at every member of the community because suicide can affect us all.
